My story began in 2006 when I decided to move to Florida to finish my senior year in High school. This perhaps is what changed and shaped me into who I am today. That year required me to either choose to live in faith or drown in fear.
I started writing quotes mostly on Facebook, I shared them with the world and the world seemed to like it back. They liked, shared, commented, and reposted what resonated with them. From there in 2015, it inspired me to create a brand called “I Will”. The quotes were about what I was feeling, experiencing, or thoughts that just came into my mind. The foundation of this brand was personal validation. Personal empowerment that “I Will” be great and “I Will” achieve. I thought of creative ways of putting out the message and quotes, so I created an Instagram page and incorporated music with a message in the videos. I did this for a few months then my motivation started to disappear. I realized that “I Will” was not the core of my story. “I Will” to me made me the foundation of my faith, but the foundation of my faith was God. I abandoned the name and I stopped making videos but I continued to post quotes on my personal Instagram page.
In 2018 it was on my heart to do more with the quotes. I wanted people to be able to touch the message and not just see it on their social media feeds. It was important that people could see their own story within the message and help others they encounter see their story within the message as well. My idea transformed from sharing my story on social media; to sharing it on apparel. Not only would people be able to wear fashionable apparel, but they would also be able to share their stories, or have quotes and statements that remind them of their story.
However, I didn't want to simply put quotes on T-shirts, I wanted to create a brand and a platform where people can go and be inspired by different quotes that speak to them. After a long time of praying and speaking to God, I figured out what I will call the brand. God asked me one question, “where is your foundation?” I answered “in You ''. I looked back in my life and realized all the good God has done. How much He inspired me in His ways to put me in places and opportunities I couldn’t do without him. He taught me the equation “God + ME” when in doubt or alone to always include HIM into your situation. God has been with me along every path that I had to choose: “Faith > Fear”. He reminds me “Being me(you) is not a choice, Being me(you) is an opportunity”. He created me for my specific purpose that HE took his time planning and shaping it out for me.
God is my inspiration. In 2019 Gspired didn’t mean anything, but in 2020 it now means God Inspired and the message it continues to stand on. There can't be an “I Will” if He - God, did not give me the inspiration, courage, and strength to do so. This is my story, let's continue to write what God inspired us to do.
